The name of the villa refers to the national epic of Finland, Kalevala, while the story of the villa begun in 1984 as a holiday resort was built in Kirtsinniemi, by the lake Suuri-Onkamo. The long-term owners of the villa sold it to their daughter Johanna Hurskainen and her husband Mika Hurskainen in 2017. Johanna has spent all her childhood summers by that specific lake, so the story got a natural continuation and new twists and turns when she got in charge and started the major renovation of the interior spaces. The whole place was refurbished from floor to ceiling – and is now ready for your relaxing holiday.
